CyberMela is an independent information and official-navigation platform. Our goal is to make public cybersecurity rules and government services easier to find and understand while keeping regulated and professional activities outside the product.
INSA and Ethio-CERT first
Claims and navigation on this prototype use first-party public material from insa.gov.et and ethiocert.gov.et. We do not use third-party articles to establish legal or regulatory facts.
Visible uncertainty
We separate confirmed text from interpretation and identify items that depend on unpublished directives, designation decisions or regulator practice.
Two kinds of freshness
Public listings can refresh automatically, while legal explanations remain dated and change only after review. A changed webpage is not silently treated as a change in legal effect.
Strict product boundary
No readiness scoring, organization-specific assessment, system access, scanning, testing, evidence review, incident submission, legal determination, audit, certification or claim of INSA affiliation.
How live official data works
The official-source hub reads public INSA and Ethio-CERT pages at intervals and displays direct links, publication titles and Ethio-CERT's published GCI measures. If an official page cannot be reached or its layout changes, the site displays a verified snapshot and sends the user to the original page. It never reads incident submissions, authenticated content or private systems.
Information-only scope
The site summarizes public materials, explains uncertainty and links visitors to official government destinations. It does not ask users to describe their organization's security posture or produce an organization-specific readiness result.
Corrections and reviewer accountability
CyberMela currently has no appointed Ethiopian legal reviewer and does not claim professional legal review. Legal explanations are based on linked first-party public sources, dated when reviewed and updated through a public change record. This status will change only after named editorial and qualified legal-review roles are formally in place.
What users should confirm with the responsible authority or counsel
- Whether INSA has designated a specific infrastructure.
- Whether a proposed paid activity requires a cybersecurity-provider licence.
- Whether a specific incident is reportable and when a deadline begins.
- Which additional laws or sector-specific rules apply.
- Whether organization-specific legal advice is required.
